In these terms and conditions of sale, the following terms have the meaning indicated:

a) “business day” means Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.

b) “EFT” means electronic funds transfer.

c) “sale price” means the that we quoted for the sale of the trailer to you and that you accept.

d) “trailer” means the Blue Tongue or SWAG trailer and all the components/accessories advertised.

e) “We, “Us” or “Our” means Catmar Enterprises Pty Ltd T/- Camper Trailer Sales SA.

f) “You” or “Your” means the person who purchases a trailer from us (and if more than one, all persons).

2. Terms & Conditions

Your purchase of a trailer is made subject to these terms and conditions:

3. Deposit

Generally, a $2,000 deposit is required when you agree to purchase a trailer from us. Cancellation after 7 days (or 14 days when subject to finance pre-approval), will result in your deposit being forfeited. The deposit also “locks in the price" from that day until such time the trailer is delivered to you and the outstanding balance is paid. The cost of freight is always increasing and you may be asked to pay extra to cover the cost difference between what's on your invoice, compared to the actual cost price "on the day". This is an area beyond our control.

4. Time to Fulfil Order

Generally, the trailer you order will be made for you and is very rarely kept as stock. Whilst we endeavour to be accurate with delivery times, there are some cases where delivery time estimates may be delayed. Known as “Force Majeure”; there are many factors which can contribute to delays which are beyond our reasonable control. Examples of these include, but are not limited to: flood, pandemic and war. Based on our experience, wait times can sometimes be as little as 6 months, but have been known to push out beyond 12 months. We will never deliberately underestimate expected delivery times "just to get your business".

5. No Liability for Delay

If the trailer is not available by the estimated delivery date, we will not be liable to compensate you for any costs or damages claimed (by you) because of the delay in the delivery of your trailer i.e. pre booked campsites or holidays booked in advance, which can't be refunded or changed.

6. Product Variation

The trailer you are purchasing is sold "as described" in the order. The inclusions may differ slightly from displayed or advertised due to changes in supplier agreements or government legislation.

7. Notification that the Trailer is ready for Collection

We will notify you when the trailer is ready to be collected by you. We will also remind you of the amount that you must pay before you collect the trailer from us. Please note; we don’t do handovers on weekends or public holidays.

8. Payment

You must pay the balance of the purchase price for the trailer by one of the following methods: Cash, Electronic Funds Transfer (as cleared funds in our account prior to pickup) or Credit Card. Bank Cheques and IOU’s will not be accepted. In regard to finance, customers have 14 days to obtain pre-approval of finance. A refund of the deposit will be offered should pre-approval not be obtained. This does not include customers who simply change their mind on the purchase.

9. Credit Card Payments

If you choose to use your credit card to pay the balance, an additional 2% will be added to the invoice amount to cover the charges incurred by our bank to process your transaction. AMEX and Diners Club cards are not accepted.

10. Payment by EFT

You must pay the balance of the purchase price for the trailer (after the deduction of the deposit) on or before collecting the trailer. You may need to make prior arrangements with your financial institution to increase your daily EFT limits from $2,000 per day to say $10,000 per day until the outstanding balance is paid in full. The funds can sometimes take 2 to 3 days to appear at our end and must be cleared in our account before the trailer will be released to you.

11. Collection of the Trailer

It is against the law for us to release trailers to customers who don't have a suitable tow vehicle with correctly fitted electronic brakes. We also have an obligation to deliver the trailer with batteries fitted and in full working order.

12. Warranty

Blue Tongue (https://bluetonguecampers.com.au) and SWAG (https://www.swagcampertrailers.com.au) trailers are sold subject to each of their respective product warranties, which can be viewed on their company websites. They are also available from our office upon request. Email; mark@campertrailersa.com.au

13. Return Policy

If you request to return the trailer you have purchased, and if we accept your return, then you must pay us a restocking fee which will be equivalent to 25% of the sale price of your trailer, plus any additional costs which may be incurred.
